Yoga Flow with Emily Kaye.

Yoga Flow is a style of yoga, also known as Vinyasa Flow, characterised by stringing postures (asanas) together so that you move from one to another in a flowing sequence, with an awareness of the breath. Yoga flow is one of our more challenging classes.

Emily’s energising yoga flow classes invite playful and creative movement on the mat. Flowing from posture to posture, we'll explore balance, strength, and fluid transitions — all guided by the breath.

As with all of Emily’s classes, there is a strong emphasis on embodied awareness, moving with the breath as the anchor. Plenty of variations and options are offered, encouraging you to move in a way that feels both supportive and empowering.

  • Emily is a Sheffield-based yoga teacher, with ten years of teaching experience. Trained originally in vinyasa & hatha yoga, Emily has studied yoga, breathwork and yoga philosophy in the UK, India and beyond.

With a strong belief that there is no one-size-fits-all approach in yoga, Emily teaches a variety of different styles. Whether a dynamic vinyasa class or a deep and meditative stillness practice, Emily’s classes are warm, engaging and welcoming.

    Some words from Emily:

“My classes are playful but grounded, encouraging students to have a strong awareness of their breath. I believe that yoga can change the world and my goal is to strengthen the body and quiet the mind, for happier, healthier humans. We spend too much time rushing around, with our brains chattering away. For me yoga is about slowing all of this down, being more present, finding joy in movement and living more fully. "

Emily is the Yoga and Wholebeing Lead at Open House. When she’s not at Open House, Emily’s love of the outdoors takes her off into the hills, or you’ll find her pottering in the garden.
