Flow Like Water, Grounded Like Earth: An Introduction to the 5 Elements with Kelly Dadd.

The elements exist both around us and within us. In this workshop, we will explore how to enhance our overall wellbeing through subtle Dru Yoga techniques. By tuning into these powerful forces of nature, we invite the elements to help us cultivate stability in the body, enhanced flow in our relationships, heightened creativity, deeper self-nourishment, clearer communication, and a profound sense of stillness and calm.

During the session, you’ll be introduced to each of the five elements and guided in nurturing your body, mind, and soul through yoga, movement practices, mudras, breathwork, and meditation. The workshop also includes a deeply restorative relaxation and an elemental meditation.

Key themes include:

  • Understanding the five elements — Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether (Space)

  • Exploring how each element relates to the body and mind

  • Balancing the elements through a gentle, flowing Dru Yoga sequence

  • Recognising signs of imbalance within each element

  • Learning yoga practices that help restore harmony in both body and mind

No experience needed; all levels are welcome.

  • Kelly is a Dru Yoga teacher whose approach is rooted in inclusivity, ensuring that students of all levels feel welcome and supported. Her classes are carefully structured with staged options for each posture, allowing everyone to experience the energy and benefits of the practice—whether absolute beginners, or more experienced practitioners.

Dru Yoga combines flowing movement, breathwork, visualisations, and affirmations, and works deeply with the elements, such as earth and fire, to bring balance and vitality. Kelly incorporates body preparation exercises into her sessions, gently preparing the body before moving into deeper postures. In addition to teaching, she has also contributed to the training of new Dru Yoga instructors, sharing her knowledge and passion for this transformative practice.

    Some words from Kelly:

‘Yoga has been a major part of my life. It has helped me to unravel and unwind, and to release both energetic and physical blocks. It has brought me closer to who I am and through teaching, I want to share this gift.’

When Kelly isn’t teaching she is out in nature, living yoga.
