Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or wanting to feel more confident in your practice, Start Where You Are is a four-week series designed to help you build strength, clarity, and ease as you discover the foundations of the physical practice of yoga.
Over four 60-minute classes, we’ll break down some common poses in a relaxed, welcoming space. You’ll learn how to move through key poses safely, explore simple breathwork, and start tuning into how your body likes to move.
Expect a mix of mindfulness, a little challenge, and moments that make you smile. Each class builds on the previous one and is an invitation to connect, explore, and leave feeling a little taller, calmer, and more alive.
As you build strength and awareness in your body, you might start to notice something else too — a sense of space, steadiness, and presence that begins to ripple into the rest of life. That’s where the real magic of yoga begins.

Ryan (RYT-500) is a Sheffield-based vinyasa teacher, integrative life coach and former BigLaw lawyer. Trained in Singapore (200-hour, 2020, with Blair Hughes) and Thailand (300-hour, Aligned Yoga with Briohny Smyth), he teaches strong yet mindful, breath-led classes—clear cues, creative sequences and purposeful playlists that build heat and strength while settling the mind.
Drawing on his training as a coach, Ryan weaves intention-setting and practical mindset tools so students at every level feel seen, supported and safe to progress. He’s known for a warm, inclusive room that welcomes busy professionals looking to reconnect.
Off the mat, he’s usually lifting weights, buying more books than he’ll ever read, or running off-road.
